Hiring - Skip Lorry Driver

Based in Portsmouth and Southampton, H&S Metals have been providing scrap metal recycling services to the local community since 2009. Location: Portsmouth.

Salary: TBC based on experience.

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 to 17:00.

Key Requirements/Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence (HGV Class 2 / Category C preferred).
• CPC and digital tachograph card.
• Previous experience in skip or waste collection driving is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Portsmouth and surrounding areas.
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and customer-focused.

Job Description

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Skip Lorry Driver to join our team in Portsmouth. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery, collection, and exchange of skips to commercial and domestic customers across the local area.

As a Skip Driver, you would be expected to:

• Operate skip lorries in compliance with road safety regulations and company policies.
• Deliver and collect skips at customer sites in a professional and timely manner.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections.
• Provide excellent customer service on-site.
